LIBRARY HOURS: Monday - Friday OPEN 7:30 AM CLOSE 3:30 PM
Use the library to read, research, and learn! Our library offers a combination of print resources such as books plus electronic resources like electronic databases and the internet to form a complete learning environment. We have materials for reading and research, for check-out and for in-library use. - Students must have their current Bessie Coleman Middle School ID badge in order to use the library.
- Students must have a pass from their teacher to visit the library during school hours.
- Students are welcome to come to library to complete assignments, study, check out materials or to simply read.
- Students may have up to three books checked out at one time for a period of three weeks. After three weeks, books are overdue.
- Fines of 5 cents per book per school day will be charged for overdue items. Non-perishable food items for Cedar Hill Food Pantry or food/supply donations for the Tri-City Animal Shelter will also be accepted in place of traditional payments.
- There will be a charge for damaged or lost books.
All students have signed an Acceptable Use Policy that is kept on file. Therefore, computers are to be used for educational purposes only. This means no e-mailing, music/video downloading, gaming, or social networking allowed. Our district purchases databases of research tools for scholastic use. These databases can be used at school and from home through the CHISD website. Remember: ask questions, talk softly, and be respectful. This is your library ... act responsibly!
